About Us
Aaron Williamson
Aaron Williamson was led to restorative justice through his work as an attorney. Through his experience in civil litigation and in defending clients in criminal trials, Aaron saw first-hand how existing systems for addressing harm behavior fail to address the need of those who are harmed and to foster real accountability in those who cause harm. Instead, he saw that those systems disempower people impacted by harm and often lead to more harm.
In restorative justice, Aaron found tools to address the roots of harmful behavior, while honoring the dignity and humanity of everyone involved. He has since dedicated his work to restorative practices.
In his law practice, Aaron works with nonprofit organizations and their communities. He counsels clients on using restorative practices to resolve conflict between people and organizations, and to address harm caused by community members, employees, and others.
Aaron’s approach is rooted in respect for individuals and an understanding that there is a hidden story beneath the surface of every life. He brings compassion and curiosity to every restorative justice process. His goal is to support everyone impacted by harm to gain greater understanding of their situation and to move beyond harm to healing and empowerment.
